 The “El Rei del Mar” Diving Centre is located in the village of L’Estartit, one kilometer away from the Medes Islands Marine Park. The setting is characterised by its bustling quantity of marine life, mainly by the large groupers which can be found at shallow depths. These great animals approach divers fearlessly with curiosity, wreathed in clouds of breams, with eagle rays scampering about the bottom amid small schools of barracudas. Divers will awe at underwater caves and sea walls teeming with gorgonians. These conditions, unequalled in all the Western Mediterranean, make the Medes Islands a must for any diver.
At our Diving Center we have done our best to provide the best setting for the practice of this activity, providing a complete infrastructure to this end, including two 15 m. boats with capacity for 35 divers each, equipped with hydraulic lift to board the vessel after diving, and with all the indispensable safety elements: VHF radio, first-aid kit, oxygen, safety raft, and the presence at all times of the boat’s captain and first mate. In addition, we have na hyperbaric chamber in Palamos a half-hour away by car, with 24-hour surveillance.
You don’t even have to worry about transporting your gear; our vehicles drive by the Hotel every day to pick up the equipment and take it to the boats, leaving you free to take a pleasant 5-minutes stroll to the boat without having to lug around your diving gear.
 As a 5* IDC GOLD PALM PADI diving school we offer all the diving courses, from the Discover Scuba Diving to Open Water Instructor Diver for those who wants to enjoy the underwater world.
Also we teach all the PADI Specialties courses, NItrox, Scooter, Deep Dive, Nigth Dive and as well the DAN and IAHD courses.
We are located in the three-star Hotel Panorama, so that our divers have the added comfort and convenience of its facilities when it comes the time to rest from a long day underwater.
